KWS-3 'VerySANS'focusing VSANS diffractometer operated by JCNS@MLZ
JCNS-MLZ SANS group has two Anton Paar MCR501 and MCR702 series rheometers available to simultaneously probe the shear rheology and the material microstructure in conjunction with SANS/VSANS. The flow geometry consists of a Couette type cell. Quartz and titanium cylinders are available with flow gaps ranging from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm. The sample volumes range from 3 ml for the smallest combination up to 14 ml for the largest. A range of rheological tests can be performed in conjunction with SANS/VSANS, from basic steady shear mode to more advanced time-dependent measurement such as large-amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS) mode.
