Peltier Heating/Cooling Sample Block: Rapid, precise temperature control



1. The 6-pos. Peltier sample holder (SN6)



The NeutroniQ 6 provides temperature control from below zero to +140 °C for six cell carriages. These six carriages are powered by a single 24-Volt TC 1 Temperature Controller, which maintains a single temperature for all six carriages. A generous spacing between cells permits measurement at wide scattering angles. Typically, sample carriages support Hellma cuvettes. The carriages may be screwed down in place for good thermal contact. Windows at the beam entrance and behind the cuvette, provide a temperature controlled chamber. The exit window is enlarged to permit measurement of scattered neutrons.

2. The 8-pos. Peltier sample holder (NeutroniQ 1×8)



The NeutroniQ 1×8 provides temperature control from below zero to +140 °C for eight cell carriages. Typically, sample carriages support Hellma cuvettes. The carriages may be screwed down in place for good thermal contact. Windows at the beam entrance and behind the cuvette, provide a temperature-controlled chamber. The exit window is enlarged to permit measurement of scattered neutrons.|

7. HTF furnace (RT– 1900°C Vacuum & 900°C Air)
The heater of the high temperature furnace (HTF) consist of a resistive Nb double cylinder element. Radiation shields made of Nb reduce the thermal loss. Maximum reachable temperature is 1900 °C. For temperatures up to 300 °C the furnace can be filled with Ar or He exchange gas to improve regulation stability. Further a special version of the furnace with a reduced diameter for usage inside the CCM-7.5T vertical magnet is available.
